Synopsis

Delphie is really excited about the end of term show; it's her chance to shine!  But while she is waiting in the wings, Delphie's help is needed in the magical world of Enchantia.  Can she get there in time to save the masked ball?

About the Author

Darcey Bussell is a world famous Prima Ballerina.  She joined the Royal Ballet School when she was 13 and, despite starting later than most of the other students, became a Principal of the Royal Ballet at just 19, at the same time the youngets ballerina ever to be given this honour.  Darcey received both the OBE and CBE awards during her time with the Royal Ballet, and since officially retiring in 2007 she has teamed up with Katherine Jenkins in the phenomenally successful Viva la Diva.  She is married with two daughters.

Review

This is the third book in the Magic Ballerina series.

I was worried about Delphie when she hurt her ankle after Sukie had tripped her over.  But in the end her ankle got better and she was able to dance the lead role in the show afterall.

I thought it was really amazing when Delphie got to ride on the swan's back to steal the magic potion from King Rat and turn all the animals back into humans.  And it was really cool when Delphie got invited to the masked ball before she had to go back home.

This book showed me how to do an arabesque - something we have not yet done in class!
