Synopsis
In Echo and Hush, award-winning junior fiction novelist V.M. Jones and illustrator Scott Tulloch created an iconic children's picture book, about Echo the nervous huntaway sheep dog, and her friend Hush, who live and work in the stunningly beautiful high country of New Zealand's South Island.
That story ended with the birth of Hush's five puppies - and continues in the tale of The Naughtiest Puppy, who was so naughty there was no name fit to describe him. His adventures and misdeeds will endear him to younger readers as he manages to outdo all the other puppies in sheer naughtiness. But when a sudden storm places the life of a newborn lamd and its mother in danger, the naughtiest puppy finally finds his rightful name.
A compelling and delightful story that will enchant children and adults alike, The Naughtiest Puppy endorses Jones' and Tulloch's claim to be the Kiwi equivalent of Jackie French and Bruce Whatley. Scott's books about Willy and his family, Willy's Dad, Willy's Mum and Willy's Grandpa have been very successful on both sides of the Tasman, and will soon be joined by Piggy Poggett.

Review
I loved this book because the naughtiest puppy wasn't naughty after all. He was actually very brave to go out into the snow storm to save the lost sheep.
I thought the pictures were lovely and the book was easy to read. It's a great story that I enjoy reading over and over again. In fact, I have just been to my school library to borrow Echo and Hush.
