Synopsis
Holly is in the middle of a ballet class when she is whisked away to Enchantia. She lands in a beautiful rose garden, with her trusty quide, the White Cat nowhere in to be seen. As she turns round, she sees a man picking a white rose whilst an ugly beast watches from the shadows. Holly knows that she is seeing the ballet of Beauty and the Beast unravelling before her eyes, but something seems to be going horribly wrong...
About the Author
Darcey Bussell is a world famous Prima Ballerina. She joined the Royal Ballet School when she was 13 and, despite starting later than most of the other students, became a Principal of the Royal Ballet at just 19, at the same time the youngets ballerina ever to be given this honour. Darcey received both the OBE and CBE awards during her time with the Royal Ballet, and since officially retiring in 2007 she has teamed up with Katherine Jenkins in the phenomenally successful Viva la Diva. She is married with two daughters.
Review
This is the sixteenth book in the Magic Ballerina series - and the fourth book about Holly's magical adventures in Enchantia.
Holly really misses her mum and I feel sad for her because I wouldn't like being away from my Mama either. I was really excited for Holly when she saw her mum in the magical mirror when she was in Enchantia trying to figure out where Beauty was. In the end, the White Cat taught Holly an important lesson about love - that it is more powerful than even the strongest magic. Which means that even though her mum may be far away, she still loves Holly and is always with her in some way.
