Synopsis

Oil powers cars, heats our homes, and is even used to grow crops!

So what are the alternatives to oil energy, and what will happen to the earth if we keep using more and more gasoline?

What's So Bad About Gasoline? is one of the most important books in the Let's-Read-and-Find-Out About series.

Child's Review

I thought this was a really interesting book and learned lots about what gasoline is, where it comes from and what we use it for.  The book also explained how burning fossil fuels is damaging our planet and gave me ideas about others ways we can make power.

I found it easy to read and really liked all the pictures.

Parent's Review

What's So Bad About Gasoline is a fantastic way to teach young children about fossil fuels and how they are damaging the environment.

Basic science concepts are introduced through Anne Rockwell's easy to understand, age-appropriate language, combined with Paul Meisel's quirky and colourful illustrations.  If only science books had been as  easy to understand, as colourful and as interesting as this when I was a child!

What's So Bad About Gasoline is a fabulous resource for all childrens' libraries - both at school and at home.
