Delphie has always wondered what it would be like to have your own fairy godmother, and when she is whirled away to Enchantia, she discovers just how special it can be...

Princess Aurelia has fallen under a wicked spell and just won't wake up!  Can Delphie and the Princess's fairy godmother, Lila, find the prince who can break the spell?  Or will Aurelia remain asleep forever?

About the Author

Darcey Bussell is a world famous Prima Ballerina.  She joined the Royal Ballet School when she was 13 and, despite starting later than most of the other students, became a Principal of the Royal Ballet at just 19, at the same time the youngets ballerina ever to be given this honour.  Darcey received both the OBE and CBE awards during her time with the Royal Ballet, and since officially retiring in 2007 she has teamed up with Katherine Jenkins in the phenomenally successful Viva la Diva.  She is married with two daughters.

Review

This is the fifth book in the Magic Ballerina series.

I was sad that Rosa upset Delphie, but glad that she apologised in the end because she didn't mean to say that Delphie wasn't good at dancing.  It was great when they realised that each were good at different steps and they were able to help the other person get better.

I liked the fact that Delphie remembered what Madame Za-Za had said about everyone deserving a chance - even King Rat!  It was surprising when King Rat actually helped Delphie and Lila find the Prince who was then able to wake  Princess Aurelia (Sleeping Beauty) and the rest of Enchantia.

The 'Sleeping Beauty Awakes' step at the back of the book is fantastic!
