About the Author

Darcey Bussell is a world famous Prima Ballerina.  She joined the Royal Ballet School when she was 13 and, despite starting later than most of the other students, became a Principal of the Royal Ballet at just 19, at the same time the youngets ballerina ever to be given this honour.  Darcey received both the OBE and CBE awards during her time with the Royal Ballet, and since officially retiring in 2007 she has teamed up with Katherine Jenkins in the phenomenally successful Viva la Diva.  She is married with two daughters.

Review

This is the eleventh book in the Magic Ballerina series - and the fifth book about Rosa's magical adventures in Enchantia.

I'm getting ready for my first audition for a show very soon so I really enjoyed reading about Rosa's audition for the ballet school.  But I'm going to sing, not dance!  Still, it has given me an idea of what it might be like.  I'm very excited but also nervous - which is just how Rosa was feeling.

I liked the way Rosa was able to escape from the castle in Enchantia and with the help of her friend Tangleweb (a spider) she was able to save her friends.

I learned from this story that you always need to be careful who you talk to because some strangers turn out to be not nice people.  Just like Serendipity was really the Wicked Fairy.

The Spinning Spider Walk dance at the end of the book is lots of fun!
