About the Author

Anna Crosbie grew up in rural Canterbury.  She lives in England for 17 years, and whilst living in rural Wiltshire had a large agricultural contracting yard as a neighbour.  The yard was filled with every type of farming machine imaginable, much to the delight of her then young sons.  Today, Anna lives on a tiny vineyard in Nelson - and is still surrounded by tractors!  Anna has self published and has had four books published in the UK and USA.

About the Illustrator

Scott Tulloch is a professional artist and illustrator who lives and works in martinborough, and has written the much-loved Willy series.  He has also just opened his gallery and studio, The Illustrators Gallery, in Greytown.

Review

I really enjoyed this book - it's fun to read, but even more fun to sing!

Instead of making farm animal noises like the ones in Old MacDonald Had a Farm you get to make machine noises.  I think boys would really enjoy this, but even girls can have fun with it too.

I found the words easy to read and younger kids would enjoy listening to an older person reading the story to them.  But I prefer to sing it!

I also really like the pictures.  They're cute, funny and with lots of bright colours.
